Contractors closed up the end wall on the north side of the new wing. They continued to excavate and fill in around the new wing crawl space, and completed installing concrete form pans on the east side of the new wing. They have bricked up 3/4's of the east side of the heating and refrigeration building, and installed a tap to the main water main. Preparations are being made to bring a much larger, 200 foot crane onto the site this weekend.

November 11-15, 2002

The new 240-foot boom/crane/crawler was brought on site last Saturday, November 9, 2002, and assembly of the machinery was completed on Monday. The crane will be on site until almost completion of the project. This week saw two rain days, however during the later part of the week, contractors started pouring the final slab on grade for the basement floor. Two hundred fifty yeards of concrete, the largest yet during the project, were poured. Contractors continued to brick up the H & R building and have almost completed the east side of that building.

November 18-22, 2002

After several periods of rain, contractors finished pouring the sub-basement slab on grade for the new wing. They completed back filling the crawl space area around the building. They continued to frame forms in preparation for the basement pour work and also continued installing rebar. Finally, contractors started bricking the North outer wall of the H & R building. The south and east brick work is complete.

November 24-30, 2002

Contractors poured the last half of the basement floor in preparation for starting work on the next floor. They also started construction for the basement South wall forms and started forming the south stairs. Detail brick work also continues on the H & R building.
