Choose from the tours below. One-hour docent-led tours are limited to 70 students and 20 adults. Tours must be booked in advance. Then and Now; Famous Faces Tour (K-2). Students will learn about lifestyles of the past and compare them to modern-day living. The American Indian (Grades K-12) explores Indian life in Alabama through hands-on activities in the orientation room and a visit to the "Stilled Voices Forgotten Ways: The First Alabamians" exhibit. The Civil War Soldier (Grades 4-12) helps students understand life for the Civil War soldier through a special presentation and Civil War exhibits. Unsung Heroes (Grades 6-12) helps students understand the human side of war as experienced by Alabamians in battle and on the homefront in the 20th century. Archives Sampler (Grades 3-12) is a mini tour of the entire museum emphasizing an appreciation of the importance of archival materials and artifacts. Museum Gallery Guides |
