Provenance Reconstruction:

An envelope found with this flag is inscribed "Miniature flag, presented to Waddell's Battery, 1862 by Mrs. Johnnie Grant an English young lady then residing in Columbus, Ga." This flag was donated to the Alabama Department of Archives and History by R. H. Bellamy of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama on July 19, 1901. Bellamy had served as a captain in Waddell's Battery.
