ALABAMA SUPREME COURT

Drayton Nabers was appointed by Governor Bob Riley on June 22, 2004 to fill the unexpired term of Chief Justice Roy Moore, who was suspended August 22, 2003, by the Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission and removed from office on November 13, 2003.

J. Gorman Houston, Associate Justice, served as Acting Chief Justice between Moore's suspension and Nabers's appointment.
