Suggested ActivitiesIn 1923 the Alabama Legislature adopted a resolution calling for the observance of December 14th as Alabama Day (Acts of Alabama 1923, #255). We invite you to join with the Alabama Department of Archives and History in celebrating Alabamas birthday and encourage you to consider some appropriate way to commemorate December 14, 1819 --- the day Alabama became the 22nd state in the Union.
